Senior Salesforce Developer (Remote / Berkeley, CA)

roundCorner is dedicated to helping enterprise nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, and foundations.  We build comprehensive fundraising, grants management, and CRM solutions on Salesforce.com, so that our clients can better connect with their constituents and achieve their mission. roundCorner changes the way people change the world.

 

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Salesforce Developer on the roundCorner development team, you will be involved in the technical design and development of all aspects of roundCorner products.  Your responsibilities will include designing, coding, debugging, and performance analysis as well as being involved with customer deployments, partner product integrations and competitive benchmarking.  You will work in a tight-knit team, share challenges with your colleagues, and develop high quality code that will be rolled out to thousands of customers.

roundCorner applications are built primarily using Apex on the Salesforce platform, as well as integrated technologies such as AngularJS, Oracle, Heroku, and AWS.  Knowledge of the Agile methodology would be an advantage, as well as having developed packaged solutions sold to external customers.

This is primarily a 100% telecommute position, with occasional travel to our office in Berkeley, CA, or other roundCorner locations.  This job will require some flexibility in working hours in order to liaise with other US-based team members and technology partners, as needed.

 

Desired Experience:

  • Salesforce Apex development and related technologies on the Salesforce.com platform, such as web service endpoints, triggers, scheduled jobs, deployment, and packaging (2+ years)
  • Additional development experience in any object-oriented language such as Java, C#, Python, or more Apex (5+ years)
  • Enterprise software architecture, object-oriented design and development
  • Agile methodology of daily standups, story pointing, and sprint planning
  • Working with product managers and business analysts to understand business needs and recommend technical approaches
  • Revision control, continuous integration, and repository best practices.  We use Git, feature-branching, and Codeship.
  • The ability to communicate clearly in written documentation about desired functionality, technical design decisions, or application features.

Accountant (Berkeley, CA)

What We Need:

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic staff accountant who wants to work for a company that has a great culture and work/life balance, and is looking to grow professionally. This role will report directly to the CFO, and will own various aspects of the accounting & financial reporting activities as well as assist in ad hoc process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of professional accounting experience. The position offers a competitive compensation package including base salary and bonus.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Management of Company’s month end close process including account reconciliation and maintenance of all supporting income statement and balance sheet roll-forward schedules; including associated journal entries.
  • Accounts Receivable management including monitoring of aging, ownership of the collections process and collaboration with internal business owners.
  • Accounts Payable management including monthly invoices and bills to be paid.
  • General bookkeeping and ensuring the Company maintains its books and record in accordance with GAAP in conjunction with external auditors
  • Special financial projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Supporting the CFO in completing the Company’s:
    • Annual Audit – including account analysis and supporting document gathering
    • Federal and State tax returns (annual)
    • Sales tax returns (annual)

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting (CPA preferred but not required)
  • 2-4 years of Accounting work experience (preferably in Consulting or Software as a Service “SaaS” business)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (familiarity of revenue recognition principals for consulting and subscription a plus)
  • Analytical with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Be willing to learn and take on new tasks both related and unrelated to accounting
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience working with QuickBooks
