Build & Release Engineer (New York, Philadelphia, Berkeley, Remote)

What We Need:

 As a Build & Release Engineer on the roundCorner development team, you will be responsible for the build and release lifecycle that includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various Portfolios. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, Projects and Programs. Where necessary you’ll provides tools and services to help product management and project teams manage and deploy releases into production. You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes for the progression of code in the development, test, and production environments. The Release Manager Job function works collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build dev/test environments. This position also works with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments. To be successful, the candidate for the candidate must be an adaptable, team player who can work in a dynamic environment. They must be able to take initiative in order to deliver the exceptional products and services that are the hallmarks of roundCause. The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms.
  • Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
  • Researches new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current configuration management needs.
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
  • Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans. Weekly Release Reporting.
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the business as required.
  • Work with developers to understand impacts of branches and code merges.
  • Continually work to achieve improvements in the release process.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-3 years of Salesforce.com developer, administrator and/or user experience.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, efficient, organized, and resourceful.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic mid-stage startup environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Software development expertise and working knowledge of one or more languages is a huge plus, but not required: BASH, Apex, Visualforce, Java, C++, PHP, SQL, PL/SQL, .NET, SOAP, AJAX, C, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Flex, AIR

Financial Analyst (Berkeley, CA)

What We Need:

roundCorner is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst in the Company’s Berkeley, CA office.  Working closely with the CFO, this role supports the company’s short-term forecasts and long-term financial plan and provides executive-level reporting to the Board of Directors, Management team and key functions heads.  The Financial Analyst must have a strong desire to improve and streamline the current processes. The ideal candidate should also be a fast learner and logical thinker. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Exceptional working knowledge of MS Excel is required.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for managing the annual budgets and monthly projections, including capital expenditures and cash flow projections.
  • Build flexible, dynamic, Excel financial models, as well as maintain and improve existing models for annual budgets, monthly projections and metrics and ad hoc reports.
  • Create and analyze weekly reporting on department KPIs. (Consulting, Managed Services, Product and Customer Success); provide variance commentary where appropriate.
  • Calculate and manage customer and project-level financial performance including budget vs actual and gross profit analysis, backlog management and revenue recognition calculations.
  • Apply business knowledge and financial insights to assist with decision making.
  • Work closely with the Company’s financial results to understand actuals and be able to provide financial reconciliations for monthly and year-to-date variances.
  • Provide financial support and ad hoc analysis to non-financial managers and employees, interacting with personnel at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Own all aspects of the annual budgeting and monthly forecast processes; including building and existing financial models, consolidation of inputs, and providing various ad hoc reporting to senior leadership (i.e.-scenario analysis, break-even, ROI, customer profitably analysis).
  • Support cross-organizational projects by working closely with process owners and leading analytical efforts to identify gaps in processes/systems and implement scalable solutions to improve and automate them.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Business Administration.
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel, and building complex financial models and improving on existing models used for planning, forecasting and other ad hoc reporting.
  • An ability to work well with a variety of personalities towards a common goal.
  • Experience with professional services, QuickBooks, Mavenlink ERP/planning tools preferred.
