Building a strong and passionate team

Nowadays, companies are more than just workplaces where employees come in to do work between 9 and 5. They are communities, families if you will; each with its own unique culture, habits and customs. Here at roundCorner, we shape our team, culture and community around five principles that we live by every single day.

We are passionate about what we do. We come from different walks of life: philanthropy, higher ed, and technology. Some of us have years of experience, others come to roundCorner with a freshly printed college degree. Regardless of where we come from or the role we fulfill, all of us share in the same passion: we want to change the way people change the world.

How we do what we do matters. We do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. This requires us to be courageous and to face hard truths at times, but we consider this a good thing. At roundCorner, practicing integrity is a state of mind that we are unwilling to compromise.

Without trust, there is no team; merely capable individuals that work in silos.

We trust one another, and this enables individuals to reach their full potential and become stronger. We understand that we are part of something that’s bigger than ourselves. As a result, we are able to achieve our goals and help our customers.

Value the Individual

None of us can do it alone. But while we’re all about teamwork, we don’t forget the individuals that create our team. We value one another, our similarities and differences. We listen to each other’s unique needs and work together on a path to success; not solely for the company, but for the individual as well.

Results matter

Regardless of how hard we work, it’s the results that matter most. Not only do these enable us to measure how successful we are as a company, but also as individual professionals. We get to learn from our mistakes, and we get to celebrate our successes. And most of all, good results enable us to help our customers achieve a greater impact in the world.
